Warm and cuddly, soft and textured, cable knit is an ideal fabric to surround yourself with--and good thing because it is everywhere this season. Soft throws and pillows add easy comfort and a sense of home to the space, while extra chunky knits can make a room more playful. A great way to add extra seating to a smaller room is by adding knitted poufs and foot stools. And don't shy away from using this fabric in your modern design--cable knit isn't just for the cottage anymore.

Love the pop of colour in Pineapple Street's Arrangement of the Week.

Crushing On

My current love of ticking is most definitely influenced by the ticking master himself, Michael Penney. With a quick stroll through Penney & Co. you will see an amazing black and white ticking occasional chair; red ticking napkins and placemats; and gorgeous, subtle ticking curtain panels. There is a reason he, and now me, love this simple pattern--It is handsome and timeless, and acts as the perfect compliment to so many other fabrics.
